HOW TO HELP STUDENTS MANAGE PORTION SIZE BETTER TO MINIMISE UNHEALTHY EATING HABIT?

OVERVIEW

CHALLENGE

University students often face a dramatic shift in lifestyle during their first year, leading to poor eating habits, weight gain, and a lack of nutritional balance. Juggling academic, social, and personal responsibilities leaves little time for planning or preparing healthy meals. Many students either overeat or undereat, with portion control being a major struggle. The challenge is to help students adopt healthier eating habits without adding to their already busy routines.

APPROACH

To address this, Gloob was created as a wellness-focused brand that simplifies healthy eating for students. Central to the project is the Gloob Bowl, a portioning bowl designed with intuitive visual guides to help users serve balanced meals without stress. Paired with a companion website offering meal tips and habit-building support, Gloob encourages mindful eating in a practical, approachable way. Empowering students to build healthier routines that fit into their busy lives.

Making it easy to build a balanced meal without needing to measure or count calories. This visual guide simplifies portion control and helps students eat more mindfully. The bowl also comes with a secure lid, allowing students to prepare meals in advance and carry them easily to campus, work, or the library, making healthy eating convenient and practical even on the busiest days.
